These collaboration guidelines apply to all clients Of LESS MODELS, including Danish clients.
Welcome to LESS MODELS. We look forward to working with you and supporting a professional, respectful and well-organised collaboration. These Collaboration Guidelines set out the general terms and expectations that apply when booking and working with models represented by LESS MODELS. By booking a model through LESS MODELS, the client agrees to read, understand and comply with these guidelines. Specific terms agreed in writing for an individual booking may supplement or replace individual provisions of these general guidelines.
1. CLIENT RESPONSIBILITIES
The client is responsible for ensuring that the booking and working environment are safe, professional and appropriate for the model.
The client must:
provide safe and suitable working conditions and a professional working environment;
ensure that the model is treated respectfully and professionally at all times;
provide a suitable and private changing area where changing is required;
ensure that the model is not asked to perform unsafe, degrading, inappropriate or unprofessional tasks;
ensure that the model is not required to perform activities or tasks that have not been agreed with LESS MODELS in advance;
inform LESS MODELS in advance about any unusual working conditions, special requirements, physical activities or other circumstances that may affect the model;
ensure that photographers, stylists, producers, assistants and other people involved in the production are aware of and comply with these requirements.
The client may not ask a model to sign contracts, releases, image rights agreements, NDAs or other legal documents relating to the booking without prior written approval from LESS MODELS.
2. DANISH FASHION ETHICAL CHARTER
LESS MODELS is a signatory of the Danish Fashion Ethical Charter.
We are committed to supporting the principles of the Charter, including health, safety, well-being, diversity, respect and responsible working conditions within the fashion and modelling industry.
Clients working with LESS MODELS are expected to contribute to a professional and respectful working environment and to comply with applicable rules and requirements relating to models and working conditions.
LESS MODELS does not accept discrimination, harassment, racism, sexism, bullying, intimidation, unwanted sexual behaviour, degrading treatment or other inappropriate behaviour in connection with a booking.
3. HEALTH AND WELL-BEING FEE
As part of our commitment to the Danish Fashion Ethical Charter and the health and well-being of the models we represent, LESS MODELS charges a DKK 100 Health and Well-Being Fee per model per booking.
The fee is charged to the client and is in addition to the agreed model fee.
The fee is not deducted from the model’s agreed payment.
The fee contributes to LESS MODELS’ work with model health, well-being and responsible practices within the fashion and modelling industry.
4. BOOKINGS AND CONFIRMATIONS
A booking is considered confirmed when LESS MODELS and the client have agreed on the relevant booking details.
Booking details may include:
date and time;
location;
type of job;
model fee;
working hours;
usage rights;
wardrobe and styling;
travel requirements;
special conditions;
any other relevant requirements.
The client may not materially change the agreed booking without prior approval from LESS MODELS.
Any significant changes must be communicated to LESS MODELS as soon as possible.
This includes changes to:
location;
working hours;
type of production;
content;
wardrobe;
styling;
physical requirements;
travel;
usage;
number of people involved;
or any other material part of the booking.
5. NUDITY, LINGERIE AND SENSITIVE CONTENT
Any booking involving nudity, partial nudity, transparent clothing, lingerie, swimwear or other potentially sensitive content must be disclosed to LESS MODELS before the booking is confirmed.
Such content requires prior written approval from LESS MODELS and must be clearly stated in the booking confirmation.
The client may not introduce additional nudity, lingerie, sexually suggestive content or other sensitive material on the day of the booking without prior approval.
Approval of one type of content does not automatically constitute approval for additional or different content.
For models under 18, nudity and sexually suggestive content are not permitted.
6. MINORS
Special rules apply when working with models under the age of 18.
The client must inform LESS MODELS in advance if a booking involves a minor and must comply with all applicable Danish rules concerning children and young people at work.
The client must ensure that the working environment is safe and appropriate for the model’s age.
Where permits, parental consent or other documentation are required, these must be arranged and approved before the booking takes place.
Clients must take particular care regarding:
working hours;
supervision;
changing facilities;
photography and filming;
wardrobe;
physical activities;
travel;
and the nature of the content.
7. SAFETY AND WORKING CONDITIONS
The client is responsible for ensuring that the location and working conditions are safe and appropriate.
Where relevant, this includes ensuring:
safe equipment and working areas;
appropriate lighting and temperature;
suitable footwear or protective equipment;
safe conditions for outdoor shoots;
appropriate supervision of physical activities;
access to reasonable breaks and water;
appropriate arrangements for transport and travel where agreed;
suitable conditions in relation to weather, heat, cold or other environmental factors.
If a booking involves heights, water, animals, vehicles, machinery, extreme temperatures, physical exertion or other potentially hazardous conditions, the client must inform LESS MODELS in advance.
LESS MODELS may require additional information or conditions before approving such a booking.
8. CHANGING AREAS AND PRIVACY
The client must provide a suitable and private area for models to change clothes.
Models must be given reasonable privacy when changing, preparing for a shoot or carrying out other private activities.
Photography or filming in changing rooms, bathrooms, private preparation areas or similar spaces is strictly prohibited unless explicit written consent has been obtained from both the model and LESS MODELS.
The client is responsible for ensuring that all members of the production team respect these requirements.
9. BEHIND-THE-SCENES CONTENT
Behind-the-scenes photography and filming may only take place with appropriate consent from the model and LESS MODELS.
Behind-the-scenes content must not compromise the model’s privacy, dignity or agreed boundaries.
The client may not record or publish content from changing areas, private preparation areas or other private situations.
The client must also ensure that photographers, production staff, social media teams and other third parties involved in the production follow the same requirements.
10. PROFESSIONAL AND RESPECTFUL WORKPLACE
LESS MODELS expects all clients and production partners to provide a professional and respectful working environment.
Discrimination, racism, sexism, harassment, bullying, intimidation, unwanted sexual behaviour, degrading treatment or other inappropriate behaviour is not accepted.
This applies to behaviour directed towards models as well as other people involved in the production.
A model may raise concerns or decline an activity that they reasonably consider unsafe, inappropriate or outside the agreed scope of the booking.
Such concerns must be respected and must not result in retaliation or negative consequences for the model.
If LESS MODELS becomes aware of serious or repeated inappropriate conduct, we reserve the right to reconsider or terminate the working relationship with the client.
11. MODEL BOUNDARIES AND CONSENT
Models must not be pressured to participate in activities that are outside the agreed scope of the booking.
If the model raises a concern regarding an activity, pose, styling, physical contact, location, content or other part of the production, the client must respect the concern and contact LESS MODELS where clarification is required.
Consent to one activity, image or type of content does not automatically constitute consent to another.
Any significant change to the agreed content must be approved through LESS MODELS before proceeding.
12. CANCELLATIONS
Cancellations must be made in writing.
Where a confirmed booking is cancelled less than 5 days before the scheduled job, LESS MODELS reserves the right to charge 50% of the agreed model fee, in addition to any non-refundable expenses already incurred.
Different cancellation terms may apply where specifically agreed in writing for an individual booking.
If a client cancels or changes a booking, the client remains responsible for any costs that have already been agreed or incurred in connection with the booking.
In the event of force majeure or circumstances outside the reasonable control of either party, LESS MODELS and the client will seek to find a reasonable solution.
13. PAYMENT AND FEES
Invoices from LESS MODELS are normally payable within 8 days, unless another payment period has been agreed in writing.
The agreed model fee does not automatically include additional expenses such as:
travel;
accommodation;
flights;
train or bus tickets;
parking;
tolls;
overtime;
work on public holidays;
additional working hours;
additional usage rights;
or other agreed expenses.
Such costs may be charged separately or included on the same invoice.
The DKK 100 Health and Well-Being Fee is charged separately as an additional client fee of DKK 100 per model per booking.
Late payments may be subject to reminder fees and statutory interest in accordance with applicable Danish law.
Payment must be made by bank transfer using the payment details stated on the invoice.
14. OVERTIME AND ADDITIONAL WORK
The agreed model fee is based on the working hours agreed for the booking.
If the client requires the model to work beyond the agreed hours, additional fees may apply.
The client must contact LESS MODELS before extending the agreed working time whenever reasonably possible.
Additional work, hours or services must not be assumed to be included in the original booking.
15. IMAGE AND VIDEO USAGE
The permitted use of images and video is determined by the specific booking and the rights agreed between LESS MODELS, the client and, where relevant, the model.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the client may only use the material for the purpose, media, territory and period agreed for the booking.
Where applicable, usage terms may specify:
the permitted period of use;
geographical territory;
media and platforms;
purpose of use;
paid advertising;
online and/or printed use;
physical locations;
and any other agreed limitations.
Commercial usage beyond the agreed terms requires prior written approval and may involve an additional fee.
The client may not transfer, sell, sublicense or otherwise grant rights to the material to a third party for a new or different purpose without prior written approval from LESS MODELS.
16. EDITING AND RETOUCHING
Normal professional editing and retouching may be carried out where appropriate for the agreed production.
However, images must not be edited or manipulated in a way that significantly changes the model’s appearance, creates misleading representations or compromises the model’s dignity or professional integrity.
Significant alterations to the model’s body, face or appearance should be agreed with LESS MODELS in advance.
17. AI AND DIGITAL MANIPULATION
The client may not use the model’s image, likeness, voice or other identifiable characteristics for AI-generated or digitally manipulated content without prior written approval from both LESS MODELS and the model.
This includes, but is not limited to:
AI-generated images;
face replacement;
deepfakes;
digital avatars;
virtual models;
synthetic video;
AI-generated voice or speech;
virtual try-ons;
digital body or appearance modifications;
creation of synthetic representations of the model;
or use of identifiable model material for AI training or development.
Permission to use photographs or video for an ordinary booking does not automatically include permission for AI training, synthetic content or other technological uses.
Any such use must be specifically agreed in writing.
18. SOCIAL MEDIA AND PUBLICATION
The client may share approved campaign or production material on its own social media channels where such use is included in the agreed usage rights.
Unless otherwise agreed, the client should credit the model and LESS MODELS when publishing relevant campaign or production content.
The client may not publish private, sensitive, inappropriate or unauthorised behind-the-scenes content.
The client must not publish campaign material before the agreed publication date or official release where such restrictions apply.
If the client is unsure whether material may be published, the client must contact LESS MODELS before publication.
19. DIRECT CONTACT WITH MODELS
LESS MODELS acts as the intermediary between the client and the model for bookings arranged through the agency.
All bookings, negotiations, changes to agreed terms and commercial arrangements should therefore be handled through LESS MODELS unless otherwise agreed.
Clients must not ask models to:
accept additional work outside the agency;
negotiate separate fees;
enter into separate agreements;
or make arrangements that bypass LESS MODELS
in connection with an existing or potential agency booking.
If a model is contacted directly regarding a potential job, the client should refer the matter to LESS MODELS.
20. CONFIDENTIALITY
Information received through LESS MODELS regarding models, bookings, fees, production plans, campaigns or other confidential business matters must be treated confidentially.
The client must not disclose personal information about models or use such information for purposes unrelated to the agreed collaboration.
Confidential information may only be shared with relevant employees, production partners or suppliers where necessary for the agreed booking and where appropriate confidentiality obligations apply.
21. DATA PROTECTION
LESS MODELS processes personal information in connection with model representation, bookings, administration and communication.
Clients must handle personal data in accordance with applicable data protection legislation.
Personal information must only be collected, used and retained where there is a legitimate and relevant purpose connected to the booking or business relationship.
Personal data must be stored securely and must not be disclosed to unauthorised parties.
Where information is shared with photographers, production companies, casting teams or other relevant parties, the client is responsible for ensuring that such sharing is lawful and appropriate.
22. THIRD-PARTY SUPPLIERS AND PRODUCTION TEAMS
The client is responsible for ensuring that photographers, producers, stylists, assistants, production companies, subcontractors, social media teams and other third parties engaged by the client are informed of and comply with these guidelines.
The client remains responsible for the conduct and working conditions created by people working on the client’s behalf or as part of the client’s production.
23. INCIDENTS AND CONCERNS
If a serious concern, inappropriate behaviour, unsafe working condition or other incident occurs during a booking, LESS MODELS should be contacted as soon as possible.
The client is expected to cooperate with LESS MODELS in investigating and addressing relevant concerns.
LESS MODELS may request information about an incident and, where appropriate, take measures to prevent similar situations from occurring in future bookings.
24. LIMITATION OF RESPONSIBILITY
LESS MODELS acts as an intermediary between the client and the model.
The client is responsible for the conditions at the location where the model is working, including the conduct of the client’s employees, contractors and other representatives.
LESS MODELS should be informed immediately if an unsafe, inappropriate or unexpected situation occurs during a booking so that we can assist where possible.
LESS MODELS cannot assume responsibility for circumstances created or controlled solely by the client or third parties at the production location.
Nothing in these guidelines limits any liability that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.
25. CHANGES TO BOOKINGS AND TERMS
Any material change to an agreed booking should be confirmed in writing by LESS MODELS and the client.
This includes changes to:
model fee;
working hours;
location;
content;
usage rights;
number of models;
travel;
wardrobe;
styling;
or other material booking conditions.
LESS MODELS reserves the right to require a revised agreement or booking confirmation where the changes are significant.
26. GOVERNING TERMS
These Collaboration Guidelines form part of the general terms for working with LESS MODELS.
Specific booking confirmations, written agreements or other terms agreed between LESS MODELS and the client may supplement or replace individual provisions of these guidelines for a particular booking.
If there is a conflict between these general guidelines and a specific written agreement for a booking, the specific written agreement will normally apply to that booking.
These guidelines are governed by Danish law unless otherwise agreed in writing.
